Higher education and working for universities is where it all began. For me University, as it is for many, was an opportunity to dip my toe into the water and, to be frank, I hadn’t even considered my employment or a career in anything to do with photography, let alone starting my own business and eventually employing people! I still believe university is a environment to discover and try these things out in a safe environment around other likeminded people. The day of graduation itself is a great opportunity take stock and reflect on one’s achievements over the course of three or however many years – including those personal obstacles. It is an event that every single person works towards and will remember for the rest of their lives. These are just some of the reasons I love working and attending graduation ceremonies.
